Product Description
- The KVM combo cable has a single 15 pin D type connector at the KVM end; at the server end there is a standard 15 pin D type analogue video connector. a flying lead PS/2 mouse connector and a flying lead USB connector.
- A separate USB to PS/2 keyboard adapter is supplied as part of the kit.
- In a USB server application the USB connector is used for both the keyboard and mouse. thereby taking up only one USB slot position.
- In a PS/2 server application the flying lead PS/2 mouse is used as normal and the USB connector plugged into the PS/2 adapter for the keyboard.
- Traditionally it has been necessary to use 'all in one' cables dedicated to either PS/2 or USB connections between the KVM switch and the server; the KVM combo cable provides a universal single solution. reducing stock holding and complexity by doing away with the need to keep two types of cable and ensures compatibility with existing and future server hardware.
